Boxes For Free
If i could i would freeze tiny-huge moments and keep them in pocket-sized boxes, handy and free, light to lift, easy to open, safe to store.
If i could i would manufacture these boxes so that i make sure they are water tight so moments never leak away,
fresh so that moments never rotten, eternal so that moments never fade.
I would make them
routine resistant,
sensitive to tears, and
memory-guaranteed
for decades and ages and centuries.
They would be unquestionably handed down from generation to generation and officially declared humanity's invaluable treasures,
the only legacy expected in a will,
the only object fire cannot extinguish, the only single matter that matters.
All the rest would be just the rest.
Because all the rest is just the rest.
